1.Check for cracks on the double-sided tape.
When you cut the double-sided tape, if the cutting tool is not properly adjusted or the blade is not sharp enough, cracks will appear on the face paper or the bottom paper of the double-sided tape. The fibers pulled out at the cracks are stuck by the adhesive. The occurrence of cracks may be continuous or random. And may occur on one side of the double-sided tape of the roll, or on both sides.
Therefore, before machining on double-sided tape, be sure to check carefully whether there are small cracks on the bottom and face paper. Then, take a sample of the paper that has been inspected above, and peel off the backing paper to check again for cracks on the underlying paper and the backing paper, because the cracks are sometimes very small, and can only be found after separating.
2.Check if the double-sided tape has burrs.
The double-sided tape of the reel has a smooth edge and no damage, which is the basis for ensuring the quality of the double-sided tape.
Therefore, before processing, you must carefully check whether the slitting edge of the double-sided tape of the reel has burrs. Whether it is damaged due to improper storage and transportation, and roll the double-sided tape of the reel 4-5 turns. And check the cut the edges carefully.
Following the inspection method of the appearance of the double-sided tape mentioned above, we will add some knowledge about this aspect today.
3.Check if the edge of the double-sided tape is stuck, and if the bottom paper is leaking silicon.
During the processing, the facial paper breaks and cannot be produced normally.
Therefore, before processing, take a piece of self-adhesive material about 1 meter long. Peeling it off by hand, and see if there are any parts on the edge or other parts that cannot be smoothly and consistently peeled off. Usually, the edge paper and the bottom paper edge adhesion occur on a slit roll of the entire roll of the coated adhesive material, and generally only occurs at the outer layer of 7 meters to 10 meters. Therefore, if there is adhesion on the edge of the double-sided tape of the slit, do not immediately assert that the whole roll of paper has this problem.
In addition, it should be noted that peeling off light-weight facial tissues (such as 60g/m2 and 80g/m2 facial tissue) is more powerful than peeling off heavy-weight facial tissue, and the lighter the facial tissue, the tighter the hand feel when peeling off.
Because of this, sometimes the double-sided tape selected by the customer is not cut at the normal processing speed when the customer selects the shape of the double-sided tape.
4.Check whether the slit end face of the double-sided tape of the reel is straight and whether the rewinding tension is consistent.
If the slit end faces of the double-sided tape of the reel are not uniform, it will not only affect the registration during processing, but also cause difficulty in discharging waste due to changes in the die-cut position. Inconsistent tension during rewinding can cause changes in the paper force during printing, and uneven tension can also cause print quality problems.
